In a statement, DBKL announced the following discounted rates for traffic offences:
- RM10 for motorcycles
- RM20 for cars, MPVs, and small lorries
- RM50 for buses and lorries
For general offences, such as hawking and licensing (excluding offences involving foreign nationals), a flat rate of RM100 will be applied.
However, these special rates do not apply to the following types of offences:
- ​Offences that have been blacklisted.
- Offences under the Transportation of Material (WPKL) 1997 and the Wholesale Market (WPKL) 2002 by-laws.
- Employing any foreign national without a valid work permit under the Licensing of Trades, Businesses and Industries (WPKL) 2016 by-law.
- Employing any foreign national under the Licensing of Hawkers (WPKL) 2016 by-law.
- Offences under the Hotel Act (WPKL) 2003, Entertainment Act (WPKL) 1992, Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982, and offences related to building approvals under the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974.
- Traffic offence notices issued under Section 53 of the Road Transport Act 1987 (bus lane offences).
