In an interesting revelation, it has come to light that the iconic song ‘Kannai Vittu’ was initially composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja for the movie Arinthum Ariyamalum. However, director Vishnuvardhan, who later helmed Pattiyal, loved the tune but felt there was no appropriate situation to include it in Arinthum Ariyamalum

Recognizing its potential, Vishnuvardhan specifically requested Yuvan to hold on to the composition and not share it with any other directors, as he intended to use it in one of his future projects. This decision ultimately led to the tune finding its perfect place in Pattiyal, where it became an unforgettable masterpiece.
