Astro customers can look forward to more premiering local Tamil shows this September, including drama telemovie, Abaaya Sangili and drama series, Oru Kalainganin Diary on TV, Astro GO and On Demand.

Drama telemovie Abaaya Sangili will tell an intriguing story about a married couple working through a psychological diagnosis together. Directed by local filmmaker, Aravinn Vharmaan, this telemovie stars talented local cast including Magendran Raman, Punitah Shanmugam, Nitya Shree, and more. The telemovie revolves around Dev, who is diagnosed with dissociative personality disorder due to his traumatic past. He misunderstands his wife, Tivya and her intentions as she distances herself. She eventually tries to free herself from her husband’s mistreatment while also helping him in his recovery. Abaaya Sangili premieres on 16 September, 9pm on Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201).

Customers can also catch drama series, Oru Kalainganin Diary by local director, S. Balachandran featuring talented local artistes such as Ravin Rao Santheran, Kavitha Sinhya, Krithigah Nair and more. The series revolves around Varun, an enthusiastic music composer paving the way to become a renowned musician in the local entertainment industry despite his history of being addicted to substances. Oru Kalainganin Diary premieres on 19 September, 9pm on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) with new episodes available every Monday to Thursday.
