At just a young age, Jeimithra Vasagam has achieved an extraordinary milestone by identifying all 118 elements of the periodic table in a record-breaking time of 1 minute and 35 seconds. This remarkable feat has earned her recognition in prestigious platforms such as the Malaysia Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, and Worldwide Book of Records.

Known for her earlier accomplishment of identifying 197 national flags in just 2 minutes and 25 seconds, Jeimithra embraced the periodic table as her next challenge. In just six weeks, she memorized all the elements and their symbols, demonstrating exceptional focus and determination.

In an interview, Jeimithra’s mother - Dr Mathi shared insights into this incredible journey. Following her daughter’s success in identifying national flags, she sought a greater challenge that would push Jeimithra’s limits. The periodic table became the next goal, with the aim of creating a record so unique that it would stand unmatched.

"It wasn’t tough for Jeimithra, as she was already familiar with the process. She took just 5 to 10 minutes a day, usually before bedtime, to master the elements," her mother revealed.

Balancing learning with play and other activities was key. "I strictly follow a timetable, ensuring there’s time for everything – study, play, meals, and piano practice. Jeimithra learns with joy, and that’s what matters most," she added.

Jeimithra’s journey doesn’t stop here. She is now exploring chess, inspired by champions like Gukesh, Vaishali, and Praggnanandhaa. With her unwavering focus and structured routine, her mother believes Jeimithra has the potential to achieve greatness in the future.

As parents, we all want what's best for our children. Ulagam team is grateful to have the opportunity to sit down with Jeimithra's mother and hear her valuable advice.

One of the key things she emphasized was encouraging exploration. Whether it's through sports or academics, exposing our children to a variety of activities can help them discover their passions and talents. Another important aspect is following a consistent timetable. This not only helps children balance their time effectively, but also teaches them discipline and responsibility. Jeimithra's mother also stressed the importance of limiting gadgets and screen time and the importance of allowing children to discover their potential in a structured yet supportive environment.

Indeed, a great mother holds the power to shape a child's life in the most beautiful way. Congratulations to this young prodigy for reaching incredible heights at such a young age. May she continue to inspire others and soar to even greater achievements!
