Love knows no bounds, especially when it comes to a father's love for his son.

A father from Shah Alam, Malaysia, has ignited controversy online after setting his son’s motorcycle on fire out of concern for his safety. The video, shared by the father on TikTok, has since gone viral, garnering over one million views.

According to reports from local media outlet Sin Chew Daily, the father, whose identity has not been disclosed, purchased the motorcycle for his son to make commuting to school more convenient. However, he soon became alarmed when he discovered that his son had developed a dangerous addiction to riding, frequently participating in motorbike races and returning home late at night.

Despite repeated attempts to warn his son about the risks, his pleas were ignored. Fearing the possibility of a fatal accident, the father took drastic action, deciding to burn the motorcycle in an effort to protect his son from harm.

“I don’t want to lose my son forever,” the father explained in the video, emphasizing his deep concern for his child’s well-being. He added, “I also don’t want to get a call from the police saying my son has been detained for racing.”

The father admitted that the motorcycle had become a major source of conflict between him and his son, ultimately leaving him feeling as though he had no other option but to destroy it.

“I did this for the sake of my child,” he said, defending his decision. “Burning the motorbike is the best medicine for my son before I lose him. With this motorbike, my son is a monster.”
