After two years, the borders are finally open. Many people are finally booking flights and hotels to cross off new countries in their travel bucket list. But a lot has changed since your last travel, and here are some necessities you should include in your carry-on luggage:

Masks & Sanitizers

Masks and sanitizers have become essential, even more so since many countries are still enforcing Covid-19 SOPs, given that the Omicron wave is far from over. Make sure to pack extra masks and hand sanitizers in your carry-on luggage.

Essential Medication/Prescriptions

If you are unwell, avoid traveling, and it is recommended that you perform a Covid-19 self-test as soon as possible if you display any of the symptoms. Otherwise, always include the essential medicines in case you get ill while traveling.

Empty Water Bottle

It's best to have an empty bottle that you can fill up at the airports. If possible, avoid using the paper cups or glasses provided by the flight attendants.

Neck Pillows or Eye Masks

Let's be honest. It's been a long time since we've all traveled, and there's a good chance that we won't feel comfortable flying again. Bring a neck pillow and an eye mask to make your trip more comfortable.

Pen

Of course, there will be instances when you need to fill out forms or write down your personal information on paper. Avoid using the provided pens; instead, bring your pen.
