Back-to-back devastating news, and today, our hearts break once again.

We mourn the passing of eight-year-old S. Harsheetaa Sai, a courageous soul born with congenital heart defects, who recently travelled to the United States for a life-saving surgery. Despite her brave fight, Harsheetaa took her final breath after undergoing treatment at the renowned Boston Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts, a facility known for treating some of the world’s most complex heart conditions.
The news has been confirmed by YB Ahmad Farhan Fauzi through his Facebook page :

Harsheetaa, who studied at the very school where her father teaches, had been battling heterotaxy since birth ; a rare and serious condition where the internal organs develop abnormally due to disrupted left-right orientation during fetal development. This disorder often affects multiple organs, including the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, and intestines, and brings with it unimaginable challenges and complications.

She faced every procedure and every struggle with quiet strength far beyond her years. A little girl with a mighty spirit, she fought long and hard, but her tiny body could only take so much.

Dearest Harsheetaa, your battle is over. No more pain, no more fear. You leave behind a legacy of strength and hope, wrapped in a smile that will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved you.

Rest gently, little warrior. You will always be remembered.
