With the introduction of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Flexible Account (Account 3), contributors under 55 years old can now enjoy greater financial flexibility. As of September 2024, RM10.78 billion has been withdrawn via this facility. Here’s how you can withdraw your savings using the EPF mobile app.

Step 1: Install the KWSP i-Akaun App

1. Download the KWSP i-Akaun app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store based on your device.
2. Ensure the app is installed and updated to the latest version for optimal functionality.


Step 2: Log in or Set Up Your EPF Account

Existing Users: Log in with your EPF i-Akaun credentials.
New Users: Visit the nearest EPF counter to obtain a temporary User ID and password for account activation.

Step 3: Navigate to the Withdrawal Tab

1. After logging in, the app’s Home screen will display your account balances (Accounts 1, 2, and 3).
2. Tap on the Withdrawal tab in the bottom navigation menu.
3. Select "Fleksibel" to access the Account 3 withdrawal page.

Step 4: Review Terms and Conditions


- Carefully read the withdrawal terms, including:
- One withdrawal per day.
- Minimum withdrawal amount: RM50.
- Thumbprint verification: Required for first-time withdrawals exceeding RM3,000.







Step 5: Initiate Your Withdrawal


1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Withdraw Savings".
2. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw or choose from present options.
3. Tap "Continue" to proceed.

Step 6: Add a Bank Account

1. Input or select your bank account details for the withdrawal.
2. Ensure all details are accurate before proceeding.

Step 7: Confirm Withdrawal Details

- Review all information, including:
- Withdrawal amount.
- Contact details.
- Accept the Withdrawal Declaration.

Step 8: Authorise the Transaction

- Use either:
- The i-Akaun Secure feature; or
- An SMS TAC code sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 9: Monitor and Receive Funds

- Once authorised, the withdrawal request will be processed.
- Funds will be credited to your registered bank account within seven working days.
- Use the i-Akaun app to track your withdrawal status.

Alternative Option: In-Person Withdrawal
- Malaysians can also make withdrawals at any EPF counter.
