In Thevar Magan, Gautami’s character is frequently depicted entering and exiting trains, a deliberate visual technique used to highlight her status as an “outsider.” Interestingly, the film’s narrative subtly contrasts her character with Revathy’s, who receives a dedicated love song, reflecting the protagonist’s emotional attachment to the woman he eventually marries. Despite these complexities, Gautami emphasized that the film's true strength lies in its powerful and well-crafted script.

The anticipation for Thevar Magan 2 has been building since 2018, when Kamal Haasan announced plans for a sequel. However, he clarified that the new film would not carry the same title. The legendary actor-politician also stated that the sequel would confront and challenge the caste system, reflecting his vision for social change.

According to reports, Kamal Haasan’s decision to work on Thevar Magan 2 is closely tied to his political aspirations of promoting rural development.
