Loneliness is a very painful feeling that you get when your heart and soul wants to be connected with someone but it just doesn’t happen.

Upon research, Astro Ulagam found reasons for loneliness in a relationship and ways to overcome it.

1) Your partner is busy and shuts u off with his or her hobbies, workload and daily routines.

Solution: Make time to be together to talk, play, laugh, learn and grow. Time together should be a high priority for both partners to grow.

2) Your partner judges you regarding your thoughts, feelings, looks or actions that create disconnection. The disconnection is due to the wall that you build up to protect yourself but in reality you are living in misery and fear of being hurt.

Solution: Start forgiving rather than criticizing because not everyone is born to realize their own mistakes.Sometimes, it’s better to accept and let it go rather than to argue.

3) Your partner blames you for many reasons and you build up an intense anger and ego to defend yourself.

Solution: Be willing to be authentic and speak out the truth without blaming or passing judgments. Drop the ego and accept your own flaws and give time to your partner to realize it too.

4) You are too dependent on your partner because you think that he or she is the only source of your happiness.

Solution: The key to happiness does not lie outside of you but it’s within. Look at the world in a broader perspective and live your life doing the little things that lift up your spirit.

5) You and your partner are too busy discussing commitments that involve financial and parenting issues. This leads to frustration.

Solution: As much as money is crucial to live a decent life, emotional attachment matters the most. Look at the positive side of parenting and being committed to achieve goals as couples.

Hence, you and your partner should be devoted to evolve in the ability to love yourself and each other. This enhances the chances of staying connected rather than feeling lonely.

A relationship is not build with flowery words or sweet dreams but a solid foundation made from trust, priority and love.
