"I can't help but think, what have I done wrong?" he said, reflecting on how the media had tarnished his name and how netizens insulted him. Despite this, Zii Jia chose to remain silent, focusing instead on proving his critics wrong and showing that his journey was just beginning.
Zii Jia admitted that he had faced numerous challenges since leaving the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and playing solo. "I was struggling with my performance, my ranking dropped, and I never thought I could represent Malaysia in the Paris Olympics 2024. But I never gave up, and I got the Bronze Medal, although my initial goal was to get the Gold."
