In the cinema industry, it has been a norm and a decades-old practice to conduct the audio launch first prior to the movie release.

But the trend has changed now where some of the music directors like Anirudh and Yuvan Shankar Raja release their songs on Youtube prior to the audio launch or movie release.

In 2011, 'Why This Kolaveri' from Dhanush's hit movie '3' became one of the most trending songs in Youtube, shattering several records.

However, Dhanush broke his own records in 2019 by releasing his next song 'Rowdy Baby' from the movie 'Maari 2'.

'Rowdy Baby' surpassed 'Why This Kolaveri' and became the most trending Kollywood song on the internet.

Now the song is about to reach 1 billion views, a feat which is very difficult to achieve and rumours are making rounds that the movie's producer cum hero Dhanush has made approximately Rs8 crores from the song alone.

It is believed that the actor will be having a small celebration with the cast and the crew of the movie for being a part of this great achievement.
