On Malaysian shores, Astro presents a highly anticipated concert, Padma Shree Hariharan live in Putrajaya on 12 November, 7 pm at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

During the press conference which was held in Marriott Putrajaya, the legendary playback singer Padma Shree Hariharan said, “Malaysia is always close to my heart, and I am eager to spread the magic and joy thru music.”




A concert that should not be missed by any of his diehard fans, as he will be showcasing repertoires from his earlier hits to the latest one. Asking what his fans can anticipate throughout the entire concert:

“Some of the songs that I will be performing are Kurukku Sirithavale, Anbae Anbae Kollade, Enna Thalata, Vennilave Vennilave, Uyire, Mazhai Thuli, Kandu Kondean Kandu Kondean, Irava Pagala, Arima Arima, and Kaadu Thirandu,” he said.

Featuring a total of 27 songs, Padma Shree Hariharan himself will perform 22 of his songs - a combination of magical touch, excitement, and just being full of heart.

Hosted by distinguished local talent, Anandha Rajaram, the live concert will feature acclaimed Indian playback singers including Haripriya and Sri Nisha who will perform alongside the eminent Indian playback singer. Fans can also look forward to an exciting opening performance by popular local talents Kumaresh Kamalakannan and Hashmitha Selvam.

Born into a family of musicians, the singer has solidified his presence in the Kollywood industry after his Uyire Uyire from Bombay film. The two-time national award winner is one of the foremost Indian ghazal singers and composers who have sung more than 500 Tamil songs and 200 Hindi songs. Fondly known as an established ghazal singer and one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music, he was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri and Yesudas Award for his outstanding performance in music.



When asked about his experience working with one of the Malaysian upcoming flicks, Karthik Shamalan’s ‘Adai Mazhai Kaalam’, he smiled and answered:

It is a beautiful song, and I would love to join hands with other renowned musicians. As he says, with his voice, everything was just perfect in Ittana Thavam.
