Talented Malaysian actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh is joining James Cameron's Avatar franchise, playing scientist Dr. Karina Mogue in the sequel to box office hit.

The actress was last seen in 'Crazy Rich Asians' and Star Trek: Discovery, and has played interesting roles in hit movies such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Tomorrow Never Dies and Memoirs of a Geisha.

Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Oona Chaplin and Vin Diesel will also be a part of the movie.

The first Avatar movie was released in 2009, and grossed over $2.8billion worldwide. Cameron has confirmed that part two will be released on 18th December 2020.

But there's even better news for all Avatar fans out there: The director has confirmed another 3 sequels to the fantasy epic, following Avatar 2's 2020 release.

According to him, Avatar 3 will be released on 17th Dec 2021, Avatar 4 on 20th Dec 2024 and Avatar 5 on 19th Dec 2025.
