The national karate champion, who has represented Malaysia in First K1 Series, Jakarta finally made it a historical win as she delivered the FIRST gold medal for our beloved homeland after defending her opponent Annisa Nur Anggraini from Indonesia in the final of the women’s Kumite under-50 kg.
According to the WKF website, a sea of 42 participants, and 5 intense matches with the best of the best from all over the world compete for the World Karate Federation (WKF) ranking. Knowing what she does the best for her nation and family, she delivered the fourth gold for this year!
Meanwhile, the national karate squad also won the bronze medal in the women’s team kata. The 24-year-old karateka has also taken this opportunity to express her gratitude towards her pillars:
“I would like to thank MAKAF & MSN for giving me this opportunity and believing in me, ISN, OCM, KPT, and my coaches, Shihan Arivalagan, Coach Puvan & Coach Senthil for guiding me all the way here!”
Besides knowing Shahm as a Karate exponent, she is also prominently known as an author of a Mathematics book bearing the title, ‘Maths Mastery Tools’. The book consists of all the mathematical formulas that SPM students would need to equip themselves for their exams. Being the best among the rest in both fields, this is certainly an inspiration for the younger generation to idolize her in every way.
Keep soaring high in the direction of your dreams!
