A man was arrested after attempting to break a glass panel at the forensic department of Sungai Buloh Hospital on Thursday, following an emotional outburst when he was denied access to view the remains of a family member, according to local authorities.

Sungai Buloh police chief, Hafiz Muhammad Nor, confirmed that the incident occurred around midnight. The 42-year-old man, who was apprehended at the scene, was found with a safety helmet, which was seized by the police.

The man, reportedly in a state of anger and distress, had a history of mental illness and had missed several medical appointments. Police believe his emotional state, compounded by his condition, led to the outburst.

Authorities are handling the case with care, considering the individual’s mental health background, and further investigations are underway.
