Filmmaker Mari Selvaraj's name has been making waves all over social media platforms and of course his latest hit - BISON has made everyone to hooked up with his mastermind.

In a recent interview with News18 Tamil Nadu, Mari opened up about the upcoming release and shared exciting details about his warm rapport with Superstar Rajinikanth even hinting at a possible collaboration in the future.

“I’ve met Rajini sir many times. We’ve spoken about my films and upcoming projects, and I’ve even shared a few stories with him,” Mari revealed. “He has always made it a point to call me after every release, whether it’s Pariyerum Perumal or Maamannan to share his appreciation. After Vaazhai, he even sent me a beautiful handwritten letter. I really like him a lot,” he added with a smile.






The filmmaker went on to share that he’s currently developing a story that could potentially feature the legendary actor. “Right now, the process of conceiving a film for him is happening, but I haven’t been able to focus on it fully. Maybe he’s a little unsure about my working style,” Mari said candidly.

“I never write stories with a particular actor in mind. I create the story first and then find who fits the vision best. The one I’m working on could suit both Rajini sir and Dhruv Vikram. Of course, if Rajini sir comes on board, I’ll shape it to suit his image,” he added.

When asked about what he expects from his actors, Mari shared a simple but powerful request: “My only ask from any actor whether a superstar or a newcomer is to trust me. I can only make my films when they have faith in my vision and the people I represent on screen.”

Bison is set to clash at the box office with Dude by Pradeep Ranganathan and Diesel by Harish Kalyan. Following its release, Mari Selvaraj is expected to begin work on D56, his next collaboration with Dhanush.
