Mogesh Sababathy - a name that needs no introduction in the world of Biology!

With that, the young lad has once again made the headlines for bagging the Asean-India Youth Award 2023 for his advocacy work.

According to Bernama, Mogesh received the honor from Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, India's minister of state for external affairs and education, and Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, governor of the Telangana state.

He was honored in recognition of his accomplishments, leadership role, and social impact from his advocacy work and active participation throughout the summit.

Hailing from Shah Alam, Selangor, Mogesh stole the limelight for being a finalist of the Commonwealth Youth Awards, and has been awarded the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship for the 2021 session.

In the year of 2021, Mogesh was conferred the Royal Education Award at his then studying place, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.

Earlier last year, Mogesh became one of the 20 extraordinary young individuals from 18 countries who got shortlisted for the Commonwealth Youth Awards, for his project focused on sustainable development goal (SDG) of "Life Below Water".

He co-founded the 'Project Ocean Hope', a youth-led group that aims to raise the visibility of ocean issues and environmental conservation through campaigns and youth leadership training.

The group has also run educational community projects to reduce littering and unsustainable fishing practices, and an ocean literacy webinar series on waste management, reaching over 10,000 individuals across 15 countries.

Indeed a well-deserved success, Mogesh!
