Knowledge should not be limited to your age. Keep an open mind to learn at every opportunity you get. Education is one way to gain knowledge and learn about the world. However, there are other means through which you can learn a lot – like others' experiences or practice. - Sophia Amoruso

As the quote denotes, we all have grown up listening to stories, learning from them, and sometimes adding our characters to stories.

With that, let’s meet R. Ramesh, 56, and M. Krishnan, 77 - the men who inspire us by making us to understand the importance of “just doing it.”

As reported in the local newspaper Sinar Harian, both men have managed to take their end-of-semester examination papers at University Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). While the majority of their peers are spending time with their grandchildren, they have chosen to further their studies and complete them to earn a certificate for themselves.

Ramesh & Krishnan enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree in Law, October 2022!

Speaking about the difficulties that Ramesh has faced:

He stated the pressure that he went through amid the enrollment process into the course was unimaginable. He needs to juggle his career, family, and education at the same time. Grateful and beyond blessed to have a strong pillar which is his family.

“It’s been 37 years since I last took an exam for my STPM certificate in 1986, but I was able to answer the questions without feeling overly anxious, he added.”

While on the other hand, Krishnan sat for the same test as Ramesh on the same day. He shared the same boat as Ramesh as one of the primary challenges he faced was learning how to balance his education with his job and family. Well, that's something that almost all of us have been juggling.

Ageing is just another word for living. And both men have proved that age is just a number - it has no limitations!

Thank you for indicating that you can do anything that you want, whether you're young or elderly. Yet an inspiration for all of us!
