Astro is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of its most-watched local Tamil series, "Pasanga," for a second season. The new season will premiere on August 12 at 9 PM on Vinmeen.

In celebration of this milestone, a special press conference was held today, attended by media members and the cast and crew of "Pasanga" Season 2. This comedy-drama series marks a significant achievement as Malaysia’s first local Tamil series with 100 episodes. Directed by award-winning director Shalini Balasundram and produced by the esteemed husband-wife duo, Denes Kumar and Ts. Dr. Vimala Perumal, the series promises to deliver an epic experience.

The press conference began with a dance performance by the cast of "Pasanga 2." Mr. Prem Anand, Vice President of Indian Customer Business at Astro, shared his insights about the show:

The overwhelming response to the first season of 'Pasanga' is a testament to its ability to connect with audiences on a profound level. With the return of 'Pasanga' Season 2, we are immensely proud to push the boundaries of the Malaysian broadcasting landscape and develop Malaysia’s first Tamil series with 100 episodes.”





Director Shalini Balasundram expressed her gratitude, stating, “Denes has been a pillar of support throughout the entire shoot. The audience's overwhelming response gave us the motivation to achieve this huge milestone.”

By championing local stories and talent, Astro is looking forward to making history once again with the nation’s most-viewed local Tamil series. "Pasanga" Season 2 promises a plethora of twists and turns, featuring a star-studded cast including Denes Kumar, Moon Nila, Thasha Krishnakumar, Alvin Martin Santhiavoo, Sasikumar, Nithyashree, Susila Devi, Devakanni, Kabil Ganesan, Keshap Suria, and more.
