Prashanthini, the daughter of legendary singer Malaysia Vasudevan, has become a recognizable name in the world of playback singing. She made her debut in the film 12B, with music composed by Harris Jayaraj. After her initial song, Prashanthini took a brief hiatus but returned to the music scene with Veyyil, which featured compositions by G.V. Prakash Kumar.

Her major breakthrough came with the song Mundhinam Parthene from Varanam Aayiram, again composed by Harris Jayaraj. This song propelled her into the limelight, and she began receiving opportunities to collaborate with other renowned music directors.

Since then, Prashanthini has delivered several popular songs, including Ayyayo from Aadukalam, Lolita from Engeyum Kaadhal, Enge En Idhayam from Kandaen, and Ennamo Yedho from Ko. These tracks have resonated with audiences, especially among the youth, and continue to be frequently played on FM radio.

Determined to carve out a successful career on her own terms, Prashanthini seeks to establish herself as a talented playback singer, separate from her father's legacy.
