A video of 11-year-old Rayyan Arkan Dikha from Indonesia has taken the internet by storm and it's all thanks to his incredible moves at the front of a traditional race boat.
The moment was captured during the Pacu Jalur, an annual boat race in Kuantan Singingi, Indonesia, where Rayyan performed a dance while standing at the bow of a long, narrow raceboat. Behind him, a team of rowers paddled in rhythm as Rayyan danced with confidence and flair, completely unrehearsed.
“I came up with the dance myself. It was just spontaneous,” Rayyan shared in an interview with BBC Indonesia.

In the Pacu Jalur tradition, Rayyan plays the role of “tukang tari”, a dancer whose job is to energise and motivate the rowers with their movements. While his performance may seem effortless, it’s actually quite risky.
“Sometimes if he falls suddenly, I worry he might get hit by the paddles,” said Rayyan’s mother, Rani Ridawati.
She explained that although Rayyan is a skilled swimmer, safety is a priority, and a rescue team is always on standby.
The video quickly went viral, and Rayyan’s dance has now sparked a global trend called “aura farming”, a phrase that describes someone who exudes natural coolness, confidence, and charisma. Rayyan became the face of this trend, with fans and celebrities alike recreating his moves.
Even international stars like NFL player Travis Kelce and footballer Diego Luna have joined in, performing the iconic dance during celebrations.
What Is “Aura Farming”?
Aura farming is an internet slang term used to describe people who appear effortlessly cool, confident, and magnetic. It’s about energy, the kind that makes someone stand out without trying too hard. Rayyan’s bold performance captured that spirit perfectly, and now people all over the world are imitating his style.
From a traditional race in a small Indonesian town to viral fame across continents, Rayyan Arkan Dikha has shown how confidence, culture, and creativity can inspire the world, all at just 11 years old.
