S. Sivasangari - A name that needs no introduction in the Squash field.

The National squash player received the highest recognition when she won the Betty Richey Award from the College Squash Association (CSA) on Wednesday.

Winning the Betty Richey Award is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and talent on the squash court. There’s no doubt that Malaysia has a rich history in squash and S. Sivasangari's success is a continuation of that legacy. She has likely inspired many young squash players in Malaysia and around the world to pursue their dreams in the sport.

On the other hand, the national championship in 2022 after defeating Harvard's Hana Moataz, who was last year's Betty Richey Award winner, in five games. Along with being a three-time national finalist, Subramaniam was named to the CSA All-America First Team and All-Ivy League First Team on three occasions. She was unanimously selected as the Ivy League Player of the Year each of the last two seasons.

Speaking about the award, the Betty Richey Award is a prestigious honor given to the most outstanding female college squash player in the United States each year. It's named after Betty Richey, a former national champion and advocate for women's squash.
