Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor have been suspended of their state titles by the Selangor palace due to their on-going court cases.

Najib's 'Dato Seri' and Rosmah's 'Datin Paduka Seri' titles have been suspended effective from 6th May until the court hearings are completed.

Najib currently faces multiple charges of power abuse and money laundering, while Rosmah is currently on trial for bribery and money laundering.

Negeri Sembilan has also previously revoked its titles from Najib and Rosmah. However, the couple still hold titles conferred by Kedah, Melaka, Kelantan, Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak, and still carry the ‘Datuk Seri' and 'Datin Seri' honourifics.
