In a historic moment for Indonesia’s Hindu community, the Shri Sanathana Dharma Aalayam Temple, also known as the Jakarta Murugan Temple, has been inaugurated as the first temple in the city dedicated to Lord Murugan. Behold the grandeur of Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia. This stunning architectural masterpiece is a true reflection of Indonesia's diverse cultural heritage and unbreakable spiritual unity

The temple’s journey began on February 14, 2020, with a sacred Groundbreaking Puja, officiated by esteemed priests from India and Malaysia. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Jakarta’s Governor, members of the People’s Consultative Assembly, the Indian Ambassador, and religious and cultural leaders. Their participation underscored the temple’s significance in fostering harmony within Indonesia’s multi-ethnic and multicultural society.

Spanning 4,000 square meters, the temple’s construction was made possible through the generous contribution of land by the DKI Jakarta Government. More than just a place of worship, the temple is envisioned as a spiritual, cultural, and educational hub, featuring:
