Shuttler Kisona Selvaduray has earned another feather on her cap by recently winning the Spanish International Challenge.
With the win, the 23-year-old ended a two-year-wait for a title, since her last victory at the 2019 Philippines SEA Games. She defeated compatriot Goh Jin Wei 21-14, 21-19 at the all Malaysian women's singles final at La Nucia, Spain, on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Kisona beat French shuttler Yaelle Hoyaux in the semi-final, to advance to the last stage, reported The Star.
Despite her win, the Seremban lass was quoted telling Harian Metro that her performance on Saturday was still below par, and needed "more work."
According to the report, Kisona will discuss with her coach on her weaknesses and try to fix them.
"I feel that there are a lot of weaknesses that can be fixed, if I were to compete at higher levels. I will discuss with my coach to advance my performance."
Congratulations on your win Kisona, and all the best for your future victories!
