Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Ebor has once again soar to greater height by putting their school’s name by participating in World Young Inventors Exhibition Competition (WYIE) 2024, held concurrently with the 35th International Invention, Innovation, Technology Competition & Exhibition Malaysia (ITEX'24).

Our very own Tamil school students have made us proud by winning a whopping 8 Gold Awards and 2 Silver Awards at the WYIE/ITEX'24 competition!





With that being said, Mr Selvam Myandy was honoured with the prestigious Dr. Augustine Ong Award for The Most Outstanding Teacher Advisor of the year, recognising his exceptional guidance and mentorship towards the students.

The dedication, hard work, and creative thinking of these students have undoubtedly set them apart. Their innovative ideas and projects have captured the attention and admiration of the judges and the international audience. Such accomplishments not only reflect the students' brilliance but also speak volumes about the quality of education and support they have received from their school and community.

Previously the school pupils won both the Diamond and Gold awards at the Virtual Invention, Innovation, and Design Pharm-IIDEx 2020 formed and organized by Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) pharmacy faculty.

Over the past six years, the school has been actively sending students to participate in various innovation and invention competitions, including the Science Fair for Young Children in 2018. In WYIE/ITEX'23, the school won 2 Gold Awards, 7 Silver Awards, and 1 Bronze Award.

The kiddos have designed a washable three-ply mask that conforms to the World Health Organisation (WHO) standards and have also come up with a unique way of inventing the Super Shield Face Mask to ensure the public continues staying safe amid the global pandemic.

Once again, congratulations to the students of SJKT Ladang Ebor for their extraordinary achievements at ITEX 2024.
