According to a source speaking to the Nigerian Tribune, a stray dog recently carried an abandoned infant across a busy road, gently placing him in a public area where he could be easily noticed and rescued by passersby.

This brave pupper found a newborn baby abandoned in the forest and saved its life. Let that sink in. A dog, who society often overlooks and mistreats, showed more compassion and humanity than some humans.


“The dog discovered the baby inside a plastic bag left in the forest,” the source shared. “Based on the team's observations, it appears the baby may have been there for around two days before the dog found him.”

A video posted online shows a woman cleaning the baby while expressing disbelief and condemnation toward those responsible for abandoning him in the forest, leaving him vulnerable to wild animals.

The woman questioned how a mother could carry a child for nine months only to leave him behind. The source reiterated to our correspondent.
