What a joy it was for Malaysia as the Puchong and Dengkil Tamil school students made us proud by emerging as champions in an international competition that took place in Gdańsk, Poland.

An amazing accomplishment came after a group of FOUR students from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil SJK (T) Castlefield chalked up an impressive win at the Eurasian Spelling Bee Competition 2022 recently.

The young pupils comprising Pirshveena Jayaraja, Tharun Adithya, Jisznu Moganadass, and Jivan Moganadass received gold and bronze awards in their respective categories.

In addition to that, TWO students from SJK (T) Dengkil who also participated in the prestigious competition have won Gold & Bronze awards in their respective categories:

Dushanthan Suntharesan (Bee 1 Category) - Gold Award

Varalaxmi Suntharesan ( Bee 3 Category ) - Bronze Award

"Nothing worthwhile comes easily. Continuous work and hard work is the only way to accomplish results that last." Hamilton Holt.

As the quote denotes, competing against thousands of schools from all around the world is no mean feat. But, the students have proved that the constant practice and preparation you use to hone, it’ll lead you to achieve your goals.

The journey to Poland covers TWO different types of competitions:

The Eurasian Spelling Bee Lexical Skills Competition was established by ELPC International (English Language Proficiency Competition Ltd.). It inspires students to read more, in line with the theme “Read to Succeed”, to encourage them to learn the major principles and patterns of English, expand their vocabulary and work on their pronunciation.

Oscar Bee Award 2022

Meanwhile, Oscar Bee Award 2022 is a competition where contestants will be required to spell a broad selection of words, usually with varying degrees of difficulty. To compete, the contestants must know the spellings of words written in dictionaries and recite them accordingly.

Absolutely, we can not succeed in our practical life without teachers. Thank you wouldn't be enough to the mentors/teachers who have shown their dedication in leading the teams toward their success.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the millenials, teachers and parents for putting Malaysia on the world map!!
