The accident took place at approximately 7:35 PM in Kampung Sura Hujung, Dungun. The driver, operating a Honda CRV SUV, collided with the two Yamaha motorcycles from behind, causing severe damage. The impact was fatal for three students, while one remains in critical condition. The victims, aged between 20 and 25, were pursuing their studies at UiTM Dungun.
Initial investigations by authorities revealed that the 49-year-old driver, who has since been detained, may be mentally unstable. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities focusing on the driver’s mental health as a possible contributing factor to the accident.

Jamaludin's heartbreak is compounded by the fact that his eldest son, Muhammad Khairul Izzudin, had also died in a road accident seven years ago.
"I no longer have any sons, both of them have died in accidents," Jamaludin said, mourning the loss of Khairil Anwar, the youngest of his five children.
