In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat, a six-year-old girl was saved by a troop of monkeys during an attempted sexual assault, the girl's parents have reported.

According to the police and The Times of India, the accused lured the young girl while she was playing outside her home and led her to an abandoned house. Once there, he attempted to assault her. However, a group of monkeys appeared at the scene, scaring the man, who fled immediately.

Upon returning home, the six-year-old girl informed her parents of the terrifying incident. She told them that the man had threatened to kill her and her family if she resisted. Still in shock, the girl's father expressed immense relief that the troop of monkeys had intervened just in time. He recounted how his daughter had been playing outside when the man led her away. After reviewing footage from a nearby CCTV camera, the father saw the man walking with his daughter down a narrow lane, confirming her account.

The police are now working to identify the suspect using the CCTV footage. The accused, who is currently on the run, has been charged under relevant sections of the POCSO Act, and authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.

Following the intervention by the monkeys, the girl ran home and shared the details with her family, who immediately reported the incident to the police. "My daughter would have been dead by now if the monkeys hadn't intervened," her father said with gratitude.
