In a recent social media post, Vanitha Vijayakumar shared that one of her friends experienced a theft after traveling to Kuala Lumpur on AirAsia flight AK 10. Upon arrival, her friend discovered that cash and valuable items had been stolen from their checked-in baggage.

While a police complaint has reportedly been filed, the AirAsia team has yet to provide any feedback or take responsibility for the loss.

It is important to note that airline regulations clearly state that fragile or perishable items, cash, jewellery, precious metals, electronics, negotiable documents, business paperwork, passports, and other identifying documents or samples are not permitted in checked-in baggage. These rules are well known, but the question remains: who should be held accountable in this situation.
