It comes as a shock to the film fraternity and fans alike that veteran Tamil actor Rajesh has passed away at the age of 75 due to health complications.

Known for his remarkable journey in both cinema and television, Rajesh leaves behind a legacy that spans over four decades. He began his acting career under the mentorship of legendary filmmaker K. Balachander, making his debut in Aval Oru Thodarkathai. He later played the lead role in Kanni Paruvathile before seamlessly transitioning into a respected character actor. With over 150 films and a dozen television serials to his credit, Rajesh delivered memorable performances in films such as Thanneer Thanneer, Andha Ezhu Naatkal, Payanangal Mudivathillai, Sathya, Virumaandi, and Mahanadhi.

His final screen appearances include the Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina Kaif starrer Merry Christmas and the Tamil television serial Karthigai Deepam. Beyond his work in the entertainment industry, Rajesh was a multifaceted personality. He was a prolific reader, a published author, and an avid student of astrology and world history. He also leveraged platforms like YouTube to share his insights and actively participated in health awareness campaigns on social media, earning him a loyal digital following. Rajesh was not just an actor but a thinker, educator, and lifelong learner. His depth of knowledge, humility, and passion for storytelling will be deeply missed.
