A disturbing incident in Indonesia has led to the arrest of a man for the murder of his friend over an argument about a riddle.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly stabbed his friend to death after the latter refused to answer the question, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

The murder occurred in Desa Labasa, Kecamatan Tongkuno Selatan, Muna, Indonesia. The victim had visited the suspect to settle a debt. According to reports from the Indonesian portal Kompas, the suspect invited the victim for a drink, during which they began discussing riddles.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the discussion escalated into a heated debate over the age-old question of the chicken and the egg. When the victim expressed his desire to leave and refused to continue the debate, the suspect left the house, retrieved a knife, and returned to stab the victim 15 times.

The local police, led by Officer La Ode Arsangka, confirmed the suspect's arrest and subsequent detention following witness interrogations. The suspect is currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
