Thalapathy Vijay fans have been eagerly awaiting a cinematic experience like never before with the release of GOAT today. With the release of the movie in 160 cinemas nationwide, it was yet another ground-breaking record as Rm 2.3 Million was collected for the advance booking.

What makes this film special isn’t just Vijay, but a combination of nostalgic elements, technical advancements, and star-studded cameos. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, in his first-ever collaboration with Vijay, GOAT promises to be a visual treat, blending modern technology with classic storytelling.

One of the standout features of GOAT is the use of de-aging technology, inspired by the Hollywood film Gemini Man. Initially, director Venkat Prabhu planned to cast two different actors, with Rajinikanth as the father and Dhanush as the son. However, with the advancement of AI technology, this idea evolved, allowing Vijay to portray both roles, showcasing the actor in various stages of life.

The film’s cast brings back beloved 90s actors, adding a wave of nostalgia for the audience. Stars like Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, and Laila reunite in GOAT, rekindling emotions from an era that played a pivotal role in Vijay’s early career. The film revolves around a group of seasoned spies, and this reunion is set to highlight the bonds of friendship and loyalty, echoing the sentiment of “a friend in need.”

GOAT also pays homage to the legends of Kollywood. The film’s single, Chinna Chinna Kangal, features the voice of the late playback singer Bhavatharini, who tragically passed away on the day the song was composed. Additionally, AI technology will be used to bring the late actor-politician Vijayakanth back to the screen, offering a heartfelt tribute to the icon.

One of the biggest rumours surrounding GOAT is the potential cameo appearance of former Indian cricket captain, MS Dhoni. While the production team has yet to confirm this, the speculation has generated considerable excitement among fans. If true, this cameo will add another layer of star power to the film.

The idea for GOAT sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, Venkat Prabhu envisioned casting Rajinikanth and Dhanush in pivotal roles, but as AI technology advanced, the script shifted, allowing Vijay to take centre stage in both roles. Prabhu, a long-time friend of Vijay, has said that the creative freedom he was given as a director allowed him to fully realize his vision for the film.

This level of freedom stands in contrast to his previous project, Custody, where limitations affected the story's clarity. Wel, if you gave watched the movie leave us your feedbscks in the comment section below.
