Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming film Thangalaan has the perfect combination of talent and vision helmed by maverick filmmaker Pa Ranjith, the director behind the Cannes International Film Festival hit 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu'. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green, with co-production by Neelam Productions, the film is generating a lot of buzz. According to recent interviews with the production house's CEO Dhananjayan, the makers are planning to take Thangalaan to the Oscars, as they believe it has a universal story that can resonate with audiences worldwide.

Thangalaan is scheduled for a grand festival release in 2024, most probably on Pongal but the movie makes its debut in the film festivals from August itself.
