With prodigious natural talent, the Malaysia women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah may have lost their chance to win the first title on home turf after going down to South Korea’s Baek Ha Na-Lee So Hee in the Malaysia Masters 2023 final, yesterday.

The world No 11 duo went down to South Korea's Baek Ha Na-Lee So Hee 22-20, 8-21, 21-17 in the women's doubles. Their performance in reaching the final was still a commendable achievement, and they should be proud of their efforts. Being the first Malaysian pair to reach the final since 2012 is a significant accomplishment in itself.

Remember that embracing both our achievements and failures constructively and modestly will enhance our nation. We can only improve ourselves by learning from our failures. Let's keep supporting Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah and all our athletes as they strive for success on the international stage. They deserve our encouragement and admiration for their dedication and hard work.

We look forward to cheering her on at future tournaments. Keep fighting!
