It is often said that doctors are superheroes, for saving lives.

A doctor has become one of them, quite literally, when he donned a Batman costume to make a young patient happy.

A short, yet touching video clip of the incident at an unspecified hospital recently became viral on Twitter recently.

The video put on The Feel Good Page Twitter account, goes with the caption: "A doctor asks the cancer patient what his dream is. The boy says he wants to meet Batman. And the next day the doctor dresses in the superhero's costume and fulfil's the child's dream."

It shows the small child, with IV tubes still attached to his arms, walking towards the doctor dressed in full Batman costume.

The pair then share a hug, moving Twitteratis to tears.
