Astro, through its foundation Yayasan Astro Kasih, has pledged to contribute RM200,000 to help communities affected by the flood that has left thousands of people displaced from their homes.

Yayasan Astro Kasih, the charitable foundation under Astro Malaysia, has contributed RM40,000 each to the National Disaster Relief Fund (NADMA) and MERCY Malaysia's Humanitarian Fund. Apart from that, the media company has also channelled additional assistance of RM120,000 through Astro’s Gegar Vaganza Kongsi Kasih concert, whereby each participant will represent the production to present contributions to selected NGOs.

Astro hopes that the contribution can help to ease the burdens of those involved in this flood.
