If there's something the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us, it is that stupidity and ignorance is harder to contain than the virus itself.

In one such instance, police are looking for three individuals, including a woman, who were caught visiting a pharmacy in Puchong while wearing pink wristbands, given to people undergoing mandatory quarantine for COVID-19.

According to Astro Awani, the incident happened about 11.20am last Thursday at a pharmacy in Puchong Perdana.

"A man wearing a pink wristband walked into the pharmacy to buy medicine, without even scanning MySejahtera app, while two others, including a woman, waited outside.

"The pharmacy workers scolded the man with the wristband and asked him to leave the premises, which he did without purchasing anything," the portal quoted Subang Jaya police chief ACP Abd Khalid Othman saying.

Following the incident, four workers who were on duty at the pharmacy during the incident, were ordered to self isolate at home, and undergo swab for COVID-19, Abd Khalid reportedly said in a statement today.

According to him further, the police are now looking for the three individuals, for violating the quarantine order issued by the Health Ministry.

Besides, the pharmacy was also issued a compound for failing to ensure only low-risk inviduals are allowed entry.

It is hard to believe that more than one and a half years into the pandemic, people are still ignorant about the existing rules and regulations, which are in place to ensure everyone's wellbeing.

Let's hope that the troublesome trio would be found soon and punished accordingly.
