Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is offering reduced rates for traffic summonses, allowing motorists to settle certain outstanding fines for as little as RM5.
In a Facebook post on 12 October, DBKL announced that the discounts apply to traffic summonses issued to both cars and motorcycles. The reduced rates took effect immediately.
Under the initiative, summonses issued before 2021 have been reduced to RM5, while those issued from 2021 onwards can be settled for RM10.
Motorists who wish to pay their summonses can do so through several available channels, including:
- DBKL payment counters
- Pos Malaysia counters
- The PAY@KL app
- The PBTPay portal
However, DBKL has not announced an end date for the discount. Motorists with outstanding summonses may wish to check their fines and take advantage of the reduced rates while the offer remains available.
