July 31st, 2020 marks the first day of Hari Raya Haji and it's a public holiday falling on Friday. The long weekend can only mean one thing. It's time to 'balik kampung' (return to hometown)!

As excited as Malaysians are to travel across states for Aidiladha celebrations, there's a drawback to traveling during public holidays. The highways will be packed with cars.

The Royal Malaysia Police is estimating over 2 MILLION cars on the highway from 29th July to 2nd August. A total of 1450 police officers have been stationed to some of the hotspots to avoid traffic congestion.

But don't be disheartened with the news. To make the journey back to your hometown faster and more pleasant, PLUS Expressway has issued a Travel Time Advisory.

While this is great news, please be sure to wear your face masks and maintain social distancing at the Rest and Service areas (R&R). Practice safe driving and keep sanitizers with you at all times.

Have a safe journey and a wonderful Aidiladha celebration!
