Police have arrested four men who were caught on video beating up a motorist and smashing his vehicle's windscreen in Klang, yesterday.

In a statement, Kelang Selatan police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said the incident happened about 4.30pm yesterday at Taman Sentosa, when the car driven by the victim, with his cousin in it, was involved in an accident with the suspects' car.

"The victim's car was rear-ended by a Honda Civic driven by the suspects.

"The suspects then broke the victim's car windscreen and windows, pulled him out of the vehicle and beat him with a plank of wood, and seized a mobile phone belonging to the victim's cousin," Shamsul said in the statement.

A couple of short video clips of the attack, recorded by the victim, are currently going viral on social media.

Following a report received regarding the incident, police arrested the four men shown in the video, and urine checks conducted showed all them were positive for methamphetamine.

According to Shamsul, the suspects are being probed under Sections 394 and 427 of the Penal Code, for “voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery” and “committing mischief and causing damage”, respectively.

Kudos the men in blue for the quick and prompt action!

This case hopefully will relay a message to road bullies that their rowdy behaviour on public road will not be tolerated.
