A lorry driver whose vehicle crashed at the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near Subang yesterday, has tested positive for drugs.

According to Shah Alam police chief Superintendant Ramsay Anak Embol, the 33-year-old driver has been remanded to facilitate investigations.

A gut wrenching clip of the incident had gone viral, since it was put up by Facebook user Bakti Kebokta, who was travelling on a motorcycle behind the lorry when the crash happened.

It shows the lorry travelling on the far right lane of a three-way highway before suddenly fishtailing out of control, and ending up on its side on the far left lane. Fortunately, no one, including the trucker, were injured in the incident.

Bakti himself managed to brake on time before colliding on to the wreckage, while other motorcyclists are seen doing the same later in the clip.

Ramsay reportedly said in a press statement today that the driver had dozed off behind the wheel before the crash, and a urine test conducted on him has shown that he is positive for methamphetamine.
