Esteemed Malaysian journalist and film critic, Kalash Nanda Kumar, has been appointed as an international voter for the prestigious 81st Golden Globe Awards, as confirmed by the organisation.

Taking to the platform of Twitter, Kalash Nanda Kumar expressed deep honour at this selection, highlighting the privilege of being a voter for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards in the esteemed company of fellow professionals and colleagues associated with the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).

Kalash’s association with FIPRESCI, which commenced in 2022, is noteworthy, making him the first Malaysian member within this esteemed organization. On the domestic front, Kalash Nanda Kumar has established himself as a reputable journalist, contributing to esteemed publications such as The Vibes and Malaysiakini.

Demonstrating a profound appreciation for the art of filmmaking, particularly the works of the late Mamat, Kalash is on a mission to advocate for the cinematic legacy of Mamat Khalid.
