MyUBAT To Collect Follow-Up Medication Without Queueing

MyUbat

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has introduced the MyUBAT application, a digital platform designed to make it easier for patients to obtain their follow-up medication supplies without spending long hours waiting at pharmacy counters.

For many Malaysians receiving ongoing treatment at government hospitals and health clinics, collecting medication often involves lengthy queues and waiting times. The MyUBAT app aims to address this issue by offering a more convenient and efficient way to manage medication collection.

The application recently gained attention on social media after a woman shared her positive experience using MyUBAT to collect her mother's medication from Ampang Hospital.

According to her, the process became significantly easier as users only need to make a booking through the application before collecting their medication at the designated location.

She also encouraged others to register themselves or their family members, especially elderly parents who frequently require follow-up medication, to avoid unnecessary waiting at pharmacy counters.

What is MyUBAT?

MyUBAT is a smartphone application developed by the Ministry of Health to help patients manage their repeat medication supplies from participating in government healthcare facilities.

The platform allows patients to schedule medication collection in advance and choose a collection method that best suits their needs.

Besides improving convenience for patients, the initiative also helps reduce congestion at hospital and clinic pharmacies.

Services Available Through MyUBAT

The application currently offers two main services:

Appointment System

Patients can select a preferred date and time to collect their medication, allowing them to avoid long waiting times and reducing congestion at pharmacy counters.

Medicine By Mail (Ubat Melalui Pos - UMP)

Patients who are unable to visit the healthcare facility in person may choose to have their medication delivered directly to their registered address through postal services.

How To Use The MyUBAT Application?

Using the application is straightforward:

1. Download MyUBAT from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Register an account and select the relevant healthcare facility.

3. Choose your preferred service option, either Appointment System or Medicine By Mail.

4. Select a collection date or delivery option.

5. Upload supporting documents or prescriptions if required.

6. Submit the application and monitor the status through the app.

Users can also update appointment dates and delivery addresses directly through the application if needed.

Benefits For Patients and Healthcare Facilities

Although MyUBAT has been available for several years, many patients are still unaware of its services.

The application not only saves time for patients but also helps healthcare facilities manage pharmacy traffic more efficiently.

For individuals with chronic conditions, senior citizens, or family members who regularly collect medication from government hospitals and clinics, MyUBAT offers a practical solution that reduces waiting times and provides greater convenience.

As healthcare services continue to embrace digital solutions, applications such as MyUBAT play an important role in improving patient experience while easing the burden on public healthcare facilities.
