A new build of the MySejahtera app is set to roll out soon, which among others, would include the user's COVID-19 vaccination status and risk level on a single display.

"The MySejahtera (app) team will push a new build tonight making it easier for the people to display their risk level and vaccination status.

"This will ease living with COVID, together," Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said in a series of tweets yesterday evening.

Currently, a user needs to navigate through several screens within the MySejahtera app and press a few buttons to access their vaccination status.

Another new feature that will be incorporated is the "check-out" function to complement the existing "check-in" function. The new feature would require the user to press a button when leaving a place they had gone to, to facilitate contact tracing in case of a break out.

Khairy added that MySejahtera, which had been used by Putrajaya to manage the COVID-19 outbreak since it began last year, will be improved further in the coming weeks.

So far, a total of 1.78 million people in the country have been infected by the coronavirus, and 17,191 have died from it.

The global COVID-19 infection and death tally has surpassed 219 million, and 4.55 million, respectively.
