SJKT Ladang Kinrara

“Behind every young achiever stands a community of teachers and parents who believed in their potential.”

The remarkable success of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Kinrara at the World Youth STEM Invention and Innovation 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, has become a proud moment for Malaysia, demonstrating that the nation’s young talents are capable of competing and excelling on the international stage.

The students impressed judges and participants from around the world by securing the Gold Award, the prestigious Panel Choice Award, and a spot in the top five for the Environmental and Sustainability category. Their achievement highlights not only their excellence in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), but also their determination, discipline and innovative thinking.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan praised the students for their outstanding accomplishment, describing their success as proof of the strong potential among Malaysian youth.

“The success of these students proves that Malaysian children possess the ability, confidence and determination to compete globally and achieve excellence,” he said in a Facebook post.

Participation in an international competition requires courage, preparation and strong self-belief. According to Ramanan, the students from SJKT Ladang Kinrara demonstrated all these qualities through their dedication and hard work.

He also expressed immense pride in the young innovators who represented the nation with distinction.

“I am very proud of the achievements of Aarthisha Thiban, Aatheesha Moorthy, Keshwine Elattachan, Arvin Kumar and Puraarni Vivegan who have brought honour to their school, their community and the country,” he said.

Inspired by their success, Ramanan shared that he hopes to meet the students personally to learn more about their journey and the challenges they overcame while competing on the global stage.

“I look forward to inviting these amazing children to meet me soon because I want to hear their inspiring stories and experiences firsthand,” he added.

The minister also highlighted that such achievements do not happen in isolation. Behind every successful student is a network of supportive teachers and parents who nurture their talents and encourage them to pursue their dreams.

“This success is the result of strong support, dedication and commitment from teachers and parents who continuously empower the potential of our younger generation,” he said.

Ramanan further noted that the achievement reflects the positive impact of the MADANI Government’s ongoing investment in education and STEM development.

“This is clear proof that continued investment in education and STEM will strengthen innovation and drive national development,” he said.

He expressed hope that the students’ accomplishment would inspire more young Malaysians to explore science, technology and innovation.

“May this success become a catalyst for our young generation to create more innovations that benefit society and the nation, as we work towards building a knowledgeable, skilled and creative future generation,” he added.

Good one kiddo, wishing you more success in your upcoming competition!
