The Hindu Society of Universiti Malaya (HISUM) will be organizing the 26th National Level Moral Quiz Competition on 18 and 19 June, 2022.
According to the competition's director Yamuna N Ramakrishnan, participants will be split into two categories - secondary school students (ages between 13 and 17), and higher education students (18 to 25-years-old).
"Participants are only allowed to team up in a group of three with fellow participants from the same institution/school.
"The competition is entirely free, and all participating teams should only use the email address used for registration throughout the competition," she told Astro Ulagam, adding that the participants must know how to read and write in Tamil as the quiz is conducted entirely in the language.
Participants will be first subjected to a qualification round, where they will be required to write an essay on three given topics (refer attached poster). The essay must be 200-400 words long for Category A, and 450-600 words long for Category B.
The completed essays must be emailed to [email protected] by 4 June, 2022, and those who qualify will be given the link to the competition, which will be held on the Quizziz platform from 8.30am to 1pm on 18 and 19 June, in their respective emails.
Questions in the quiz will be based on topics given in the E-book which will be shared on HISUM's social media platforms.
Champions of the quiz will get to take home RM400 in cash, while the first and second runners-up will get RM300 and Rm200, respectively.
If you have any queries about the competition, please contact Yamuna at 011-16430550.
