Ten students from SJK(T) Alor Gajah, Melaka have proudly placed Malaysia on the global map after winning Gold Medals at the 7th International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) 2025 in Bali, Indonesia, held from 12 to 15 November.
Competing among young innovators from around the world, the students showcased exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills, and environmental awareness through their projects. Their success highlights not only their dedication, but also the growing potential of Malaysian Tamil school students in the field of science and innovation.

The first team, representing Group A, presented an eco-friendly project titled “Coconut Shell Charcoal Drinking Water Filter.” Their innovation stood out for its practicality and environmental impact, earning them a Gold Medal along with the prestigious Semi Grand Award for Best Project, one of the highest recognitions of the entire fair. The team members are P. Visakan, G. Aryaacharan, K. Abilashini, J. Sanjika, and T. Kalayini.
The second team, competing in Group B, impressed international judges with their project, “Biodegradable Plastic from Corn Starch.” Their sustainable alternative to traditional plastic showcased promising potential for real-world application, securing them a deserving Gold Medal. This team consists of S. Tuszyiitah, S. Agilashini, J. Yuktika, G. Kavinash, and K. Harrtegan.

Teachers, parents, and the school community have expressed immense pride in the students, who proved that age is no barrier to innovation and the student have proved it.
With these wins, SJK(T) Alor Gajah has shown that great ideas can come from anywhere, and when young minds are encouraged to explore boldly, they can shine on the world stage.
